Hello, I am new on the site. Happy to be on board. I just bought a used 2003 G35 coupe and I just love drivung this car. It is automatic and I find it very powerful. I have an issue with my passenger door window. It has an intermitten problem. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't work, I can hear the contact clicking away but the window does not go down. I'm assuming that it's not an electrical issue since the contact is clearly heard. Also, when it does work, If I use the switch on the driver side the window goes up and then goes down about half way down. It won't stay up. If I close it with it's own passenger door switch it stays up. Any suggestions. I also read that the system can be resetted from a reset button on the power window motor. Is this reset on both motors or just the one in the drivers door. Thanks
Regards,

My G35 had a service engine soon light on the dash, service was done, and tires were also replaced. I drove the car after this and everything seemed to be fine, however, the service engine soon light was still not off. I parked my g35 at home and since I wanted the light to go away I disconnected the battery and when I tried to turn the car back on it was dead and would not turn on at all. It is not a battery problem since my battery is good. It is also not the starter. I tried pressing the vdc button right next to the steering wheel many times and the car still does not turn on. The car has been there parked over three days already and undrivable :sad_1:. Please advise what can I do.

I currently own my second G35 coupe with barely 35k. I bought it with only 15k miles last July, so i did not see a need for an extended warranty. The first one I never had a single problem with and had much higher miles. I love my car and do not want to get rid of it but it is not under warranty and i would like to try to avoid bringing the car to the dealer or any other shop to fix if i can to save money.

The first problem i started to notice was with the passenger door lock. it does not lock or unlock with the remote or with the switches inside the car. You have to physically push the mechanism with your finger to lock and unlock the door. I was told this is the door lock actuator but have been quoted no lower than $350 to fix.

Then the passenger window started acting up by going down a few inches on its own upon closing. When opening the door, instead of rolling down 1/2" or so and back up when closing it rolls down about 3 inches and does not move back up again when closing the door. Each opening and closing of the door brings the window down further and further until i have to use
the switch to bring it back up. Also, the window will not move at all if the door is open. It will go "auto down" with one press but once down you have to hold the switch the whole way up. I saw reprogramming instructions online for this issue but i dont think that will solve my problem.

My latest problem is with the inaccurate fuel tank reading. I will fill the gas tank all the way but will only get a reading of about 3/4 full. While driving, the gauge will rapidly go down. For example if i fill the tank and drive about 20 miles, it will show that ive used about 1/4 of a tank when in reality ive used about a gallon. Then the gas light comes on and reads below empty when i still have quite a bit left. I was told this problem is due to the fuel level sending unit being either dirty or no good. Does anyone know where the fuel pump is located? Im really sick of basing my fill ups on miles driven. LOL

Someone please help as im starting to get frustrated.

Am I missing something?

Hi all!

I think I have a loose or bad wire/connection with my pop-up GPS system. If it is a really hot day my GPS will start up no problem, but on a cold day the system doesn't run at all and I'm not even able to eject the NAV dvd. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm assuming a loose or bad connection might be at the back of the dvd unit as it will not allow me to eject the disk when the screen is off? I also thought that maybe I could have a temperamental fuse?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :yak:

Thanks in advance.

Hi driving home yesterday and my check engine light came on. My friend mentioned to take it to autozone and get it code scanned. The code that came out was P0455. I used to have a 2001 honda prelude and I would spray the belts with belt dressing which would quiet the belts, but my infiniti was sprayed with belt dressing which made the belts really loud especially after it rains, after a few days it goes away. I was wondering if this could be the cabin air filter, engine air filter, oil leak, etc....
