All - I know there have several posts regarding this type of problem, but I only saw a couple of posts where only 1 side of the seat wanted to move. All the other adjustments work perfectly...just not the backwards/forwards. Only the left side wants to move. My guess is the motor is ok, but there is a problem with the seat track. The car has almost 70k and I didn't purchase the extended warranty :sad_1:.
Any advice would be helpful.

Hi all ... am currently having my transmission rebuilt and the shop doing the work has to buy a whole valve body due to not having been able to locate the two bad solenoids required. Apparently you cannot buy aftermarket solenoids for this car - can anyone confirm that there isn't a work around? He said that normally these parts are 50 - 100 each but we have to purchase the whole valve body to the tune of $795 from infiniti....
just hoping that there may be an alternative I can point him to before parts are ordered tomorrow...

For those of you experiencing the driver's door tick that I've been posting about for like 3 weeks, here is something I did that I think (crossing fingers here hard!) may be helping. I took the door panel off and padded every single contact with foam weatherstripping and felt. No luck. Then I decided to try another area. My driver's door "tick" seems to be right where the window meets the interior door panel. I took the panel off, took some adhesive felt and put it all along the top of the metal door where the panel hooks on, at the TOP of the door panel. I didn't get a picture with my camera but just picture the area I'm talking about. It's the metal door itself, so where the plastic interior door panel goes on the metal part, I put adhesive felt on the entire top edge and put the panel back on. So far so good. Now I have the notorious rattle that seems to be coming from the driver's vent area at the dash where it meets the door. This is brand new. Seems I fix one rattle I get another immediately. My sunroof is also now creaking and it's not cold weather related cuz it's in the 60's here. Any ideas on the vent area and the sunroof?
Hope my fix helps some and maybe someone can help me.

I installed my phone a while ago and with the exception of the cars mic being of "diminished quality", I've had no problems to speak of. However, there is one thing that seems to happen once in a while.
I will press the "call" button on the wheel and scroll through the choices 'till I get to the one set as "home". I press "enter" to call, the radio goes silent and the call initiates but only for a second. Then the "hang up" screen flashes, the Status screen reappears and the radio stays mute. I tried to make the call a couple of different ways, to no avail. If I pick up the actual phone and make the call, it goes through and when my wife answers, she'll say "third times a charm, huh" So, the house is getting the call but I'm not in on it.

Is it me, the phone or the car?

Thanks....
I had one light bulb replaced (right side) by dealer and they charge me alot of money. I figure I will replace the bulb myself. I found OEM replacement on-line but am confused to which one is the correct one to purchase or if it is the right bulb (see below). Is this the correct bulb - i need low beam bulb.

1) Low Beam - D2R 35w HID Capsule.
2) Low Beam - D2R 35w HID Capsule - w/ Xenon (HID) Low Beam

I bought my car (G35x '07) this year and it had summer wheels from FX35
(18x8, et40, 35lbs)+Toyo Proxes 4 245/45 and the winter stock set (17" stock).

Yesterday I put the winter set with the stock rims - and it's a BIG difference in ride, so much smoother and I think it's because of decreased unsprung masses (35lbs vs ~22lbs for each rim).

So I don't know if I should use my FX35 18" rims for the next spring/summer if they are so overweighted, but they look SO SEXY on my sedan (black powdercoated on my black car :biggrinthumb:).

What do you think, is it ok to use them (i like them much ), maybe I'll just buy some softer tire, probably 225/50/18? :sad_1:

My G35X has a light tapping noise when going over speed bumps and road irregularities. It goes away with light brake pressure. I rebushed LF brake caliper, replaced brake pads, and LF compression rod bushing. Nothing has changed and there is no play in any steering component. My next move is to change the left front strut, but I am seeking an opinion from any members who have experienced similar noises and have had success. It isn't really perceptible at road speeds, only below about 40mph. It does sound the worst at the slowest speeds and has the frequency of vertical wheel oscillations as the wheel follows the road. Did not find much cracking of the compression rod bushing when I removed it so I think they are somewhat of a red herring. Any Ideas would be appreciated. Thanks:mail1:

Hi all,
I have a 2006 G35 sedan.
Now that I've gotten the center console rattle resolved (dealer padded the inside of the console where the plastic pieces join), I have another one I want to fix and am wondering if it's something I can do maybe with my brother's help. I have a slight rattle that seems to be coming from the upper area of my driver's window but I notice if I push in on my interior driver's door door arm rest/handle, the noise stops. So I'm thinking it may be the door armrest, not the window causing the noise. How would I go about tightening the interior driver's door armrest? There are no screws holding it on so I guess it's secured from inside the door itself? Is it possible to get to it somehow to tighten the armrest?
Thanks,
Mary
