2003–2006 INFINITI FX; VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY
Nissan has determined that on some model Year 2003-2006 Infiniti FX35/45 vehicles, the headlamps fail to comply with certain requirements set forth in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108.
The standard specifies, among other things, the performance requirements for headlamps in passenger vehicles. One of these requirements specifies the vertical gradient values for headlamps. Another specifies minimum and maximum light intensity of headlamps at certain test points. The headlamps in the vehicles subject to this TSB may not meet these requirements. This means that the headlamp aim may be difficult to adjust. Also, the headlamps may be too bright or too dim when viewed at certain angles. Reduced visibility increases the risk of the vehicle being involved in a crash. Increased brightness and improper aiming of headlamps can increase glare. To correct this condition, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Recall Campaign to replace the existing headlamps with new and compliant lamps free of charge.

2003–2006 INFINITI FX; VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN REAR COMBINATION LAMP
Nissan has determined that on some model Year 2003-2006 Infiniti FX35/45 vehicles, the rear combination lamps fail to comply with certain requirements set forth in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No.108.
The standard specifies, among other things, the performance requirements for rear stop, tail, and turn signal lamps for passenger vehicles. One of these requirements specifies their minimum light intensity at certain test points. The rear combination lamps in vehicles subject to this TSB may not meet these requirements. This means that the stop, tail, and turn signal lamp function may be too dim when viewed at certain angles. Reduced visibility increases the risk of the vehicle being involved in a crash. To correct this Condition, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Recall Campaign to replace the existing rear combination lamps with new and compliant lamps free of charge

On some model year 2003 FX35 and FX45 vehicles, the outer panel of the rear hatch may not be properly attached to the inner panel. In some cases, the outer panel may warp or possibly separate from the inner panel. To prevent this condition, Infiniti has initiated a Voluntary Service Campaign to replace the rear hatch.

2003-2004 INIFNITI G35 COUPE/SEDAN, 2003-2004 INFINITI FX35, 2003-2006 INFINITI FX45; VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN FUEL HOSES
Infiniti has determined that some 2003–2004 model year Infiniti G35 sedan/coupe vehicles and 2003-2006 model year Infiniti FX35/45 vehicles may have a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. There is the possibility that the fuel filler hose may crack and result in fuel leakage from the hose while refueling. If an ignition source is present, a fire could occur. In addition, fuel vapor hoses may crack and cause the malfunction indicator lamp to come on. To prevent this condition from occurring, Infiniti is conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign to replace the fuel filler and vapor hoses with new ones.

2003 INFINITI FX; VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS
Infiniti has determined that some 2003 model year Infiniti FX35 and FX45 vehicles may have a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. The tightening torque for the front brake caliper mounting bolts may not be adequate. This could result in the upper mounting bolt coming loose and falling out. If this occurs, it would allow the caliper to contact the inside of the road wheel, causing noticeable noise and vibration. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, the lower mounting bolt could also come loose and fall out, resulting in separation of the brake caliper from the mounting bracket. This could damage the brake hose to the caliper, resulting in loss of some brake function, or damage the road wheel, causing an air leak from the tire. This could result in a crash.

2003 INFINITI FX; VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN AIR BAG CONTROL UNIT REPROGRAM
Infiniti has recently learned that the control unit for the air bag system does not work as well as we expected in a rare, high-speed off-set crash situation. We improved the air bag control unit and are using it in FX vehicles that are now being manufactured.
To maintain the highest levels of product quality, product safety and customer satisfaction in the 2003 FX35/45, Infiniti wants to reprogram the air bag control unit in vehicles manufactured prior to September 11, 2003 so that it will be the same as the improved control unit. This will assure optimum performance of the airbag system.

2003 INFINITI FX; VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN PROPELLER SHAFT
Infiniti has determined that some 2003 model year Infiniti FX35 and FX45 vehicles may have a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety. The bolts which attach the propeller shaft(s) to the transmission and differential(s) may not been adequately tightened. If the bolts come loose, the propeller shaft(s) may come off the vehicle which could result in a crash. To prevent this condition from occurring, Infiniti is conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign to replace all of the propeller shaft bolts and tighten them to the proper specification.
