Default 05 G35 coupe heavy steering

Does any one know if the 05 G35 coupe got steering a little heavier the other years models ? or does it have any problem that causes that ?

Not that I'm aware of... I believe all the component part numbers are the same ('03/04 thru '07..?).

Check your power steering fluid level, and tire pressures.

Misalignment and/or treadwear can also impact steering feel...

well, steering fluid was replaced, tire pressure about 37-40 psi and rims are super light Rays Engineering rims. Can't be these two factor..........

Front caster is whacked out of spec equally, though rare and non-adjustable without a kit.

Did you by chance upgrade to 'wider' tires with 'wider' wheels than oem? More road surface contact could slightly give you a heavier turning feel.

Angry 05 G35 coupe heavy steering

that could be one of the factor, but it feel the same after i had the wheel alignment, its whee spec was ok. the tire is same size as OEM size. 225 in front and 245 in the back.

i got an appointment with the dealer, will see what they have to say. I hope it would be a simple adjustment from the dealer on speed sensitive steering feature. the steering should feel heavy like this when driving over 70 mph, not in the parking lot !

ok...... took it to the dealer and they said there's nothing wrong with the steering but didn't know why it's a little heavy when turn.

Any thought ? Anyone else ?

My last two thoughts otherwise not a clue....

Brand/type of tire (even though same size) being different feel than previous ones.

Power steering pump going, but usually you'll hear that growling sound from pump.

I'd think the tires and camber might have something to do with it.
