Seems my front shock is different with DIY Video. My one has a fork style end.

update: guess my has a "sport-tuned suspension".

Question: When the shocks and struts should be replaced on 2003 G35 Coupe? There's no leak, tire are wearing normal, car is well aligned. It has 104350 miles.

What are the suggested brands for shocks and structs ( or spring shock assembly & struts) besides OEM?

Thanks

Shocks/Struts are the type of component that deteriorates slowly over time, and unless you are driving other Gs back to back with yours, it's going to be hard to tell that you need new ones unless the performance has severely deteriorated. I believe that about 120k-140k is the average life of a shock before it mandates replacement. That means that at around 60k or 70k is a good time to replace to keep the performance like new.

I put bilstein HD shocks and struts on my G and I've been pretty happy with them. The ride is defined improved, but with the drawback that sometimes road imperfections are definitely more pronounced in the G. I recommend for sure, and they'll also work with aftermarket springs.

Thanks for your input, 95% of my drive has been on Cali freeways and what's your opinion on KYB shocks & struts?
