Try the new filter first but you may need to deodorize your AC system. Your dealership will know what to do or you can do it yourself with a can of fridgifresh or other AC deodorizer.

The Infiniti AC system is a little more prone to AC smells so you really have to make sure you turn off the AC and change your settings to fresh air a little before you arrive at your destination.

Thumbs up Excellent Help

This 20 minute task (I'm slow) would have taken me a couple of hours (assuming I could have done it at all).

I encountered a couple of extra wiring harnesses not shown in the video. Because I had seen the video and was prepared for the task otherwise, these were no problem. I was able to gently push them aside and replace the filter. I was unable to determine how to unplug them. (2004 G35x sedan)

Thanks for all the help.

yes, excellent video - had no problem changing mine out, and thanks for tip on the upgraded carbon based filter. for an additional $10 - what the heck... I have a question about the "fresh air" button. I acquired a '04 coupe in 11.9, so the vehicle is somewhat new to me and I'm slowly learn the little quirks about it. but my fresh air button cannot be turned off - which I find odd. I queried the infiniti service advisor about it during my last visit, and he told me it cannot be turned off due to <insert several engineering based statements here>. I didn't buy it then, and the more I think about, the more I still don't buy it. so, can it be turned off, or not, is my question...?? thanks...
