Hey Infinitiexpert,

There are some conditions for Idle Air Volume Learning from service manual as below:
- Battery voltage: More than 12.9V (At idle)
.....
- PNP switch: ON (5AT only) **or** Shifter: Neutral w/ Clutch: IN (6MT only)
........
- Vehicle speed: Stopped
- Transmission: Warmed-up (For A/T models, drive vehicle for 10 minutes.)

My question is what is PNP switch, and how can I set it on?

Thanks!

Park and Neutral Position switch. The switch is ON when the shifter is either in park or neutral.

Was the engine warm up before you started the Idle Air Volume Learning? Was the A/C or radio ON?

Well, it's a known problem for all 2002-2005 NISSAN VEHICLES. if any one got same problem, check NISSAN TSB NTB05-067 or INFINITI TSB ITB05-042
Had I read this TSB at first place, I would never clean my throttle body, hehe

Default Warning anyone want to do this clean.

It cost me $200 to get my idle back. ECM need to reprogram. Whenever throttle body is cleaned or replaced, IAVL cannot be complished. it's a defeact, and should be free of charge.
Shame on NISSAN/Infiniti!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
