2003 G35 Sedan - NAV problem

Hi all!

I think I have a loose or bad wire/connection with my pop-up GPS system. If it is a really hot day my GPS will start up no problem, but on a cold day the system doesn't run at all and I'm not even able to eject the NAV dvd. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm assuming a loose or bad connection might be at the back of the dvd unit as it will not allow me to eject the disk when the screen is off? I also thought that maybe I could have a temperamental fuse?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

common problem you need a nav contol unit dealer offers exchange program!

Thanks so much for your reply! I've called my local dealership and they are quoting me a ton of $ to buy this replacement unit. Do you happen to know if it is a difficult fix? I may try to find one from a wreck I guess. It just seems strange that it works perfectly on hot days which makes me think that a connection is loose.

its like 350 for exchange what dealer?

I didn't have my VIN # on me when I called and he mentioned several different NAV items available including a whole new unit for like $3,000!!!! Who the hell would pay that?! lol. I'm going to call them back with my VIN today to try and narrow the price. Is the approx $350 you mention in US$? The dealership is Infiniti of Yorkville in Toronto.
