When I am shifting from any gear, my rpm's jump. ok you are thinking that its the clutch going out. That's not what's going on. I had a mechanic take the clutch apart and check since the clutch is under warrenty. Everything he said looks fantastic. I was sure it was the clutch going out, however at 7,000 miles on it unlikely. Ok so what could that be, the transmission is easy to shift, no difficulty at all. Power is there, thrust accelaeration, so if it's not the clutch going out, what could be cause clutch like symptoms...anyone anybody, could these be a hose, a wire??anything would be a apprciated.

Not a clutch issue... Bear in mind that the throttle control is "fly by wire" (ECM controlled) rather than a direct mechanical link. Consequently, a hint of delay in response is within normal parameters. The moment you push in your clutch pedal the engine is released from powerline drag/resistance and the ECM may not have signaled a throttle reduction at the same instant - but it typically does so within a second. In that interim, the rpms will rise, whether you've lifted your foot off the accelerator or not... If your rpm "jump" equates to only a few hundred for that second, I wouldn't worry about it. In fact, that you perceive it so easily may well be a testament as to how well you can "feel" your car - Congratulations, I would think you are doing everything rather well!

Sounds like just timing with accelerator and clutch. Hang in there. Practice makes perfect.
