I have an 05 G35X and I am about to get the differential and transfer case fluids changed. I am not taking the car to a dealership, but instead to a good friend of mine who owns a shop in the area. Is there a specific Nissan fluid they should be using?
Also, I have noticed a very slight coolant smell coming from the front of the car (front grille). No leaks or anything, just a very slight odour. Is this normal? Thanks again! Last edited by CDNG35X; 10-15-2009 at 12:07 AM. |

You'll find all of the recommended fluids in the Maintenance (MA) section of the service manual. You'll find it in the free loose sections for your model and year here:

I read the recommended fluids chart (thanks for the link) and It says Nissan fluid or equivalent. I will make sure he uses the correct fluid. I have had some poor experiences with my local dealership, so for fluids and regular service I will take it to a private shop.
Thanks for all the help! |
