Hi Expert! New 09 owner here looking to figure out how to access the rear tail lights to replace the incandescent bulb with an aftermarket LED bulb.

Do you go in through the trunk?

Thanks a bunch!

bumpski ;-)

I found that there is a plastic cap on top of the rear light that when removed exposes 2 bolts. I removed them, and the light will wiggle, but not come out. There seem to be 2 pressure type plugs that the light is fit into.

I don't want to break it.

What is the process at the dealers? Do you have a special tool?

Thanks!! MD

Any infomation on the new 5.0 L Fx engine. I'm looking for some photos of the block torn down. Is it open or closed deck, the size of the rods and how beefy the motor is in general. Thanks

I'm not sure what you want. In order to get that information, if is in the manual, I would need to upload the entire manual since the information in all around the manual. I have attached some of the images. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the images. I wanted to know if the motor was a closed deck design which I see it is. Now the sad part, it looks like the first cat is integral to the headers. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Can you tell how stout the motor is built. I'm thinking of FI in the future was looking to how beefy the motor was built. Any better pictures (color would be great) of the rods in the motor? I wanted to make sure it wasn't wimpy like my VQ 35 DE. Thanks.

Is there any information or diagrams regarding the Optional Hard Drive, USB port for the 2009 FX35? I am interested in knowing if a hard drive and/or usb port can be installed after market and if the FX's firmware can be flashed to allow for voice recognition with the audio (iPod) interface. Alternatively, is it possible to switch out the LCD display to the touch screen version the Nav uses.
I have the base model and didnt want to pay $5500 more just to get the HD/usb/nav - i know it also includes the surround cams and DVD system, but they were of little interest to me - hence why it was tough to justify.

I bought the Nav and right side rear view mirror mod kits from these guys but I have no idea where to find the wiring that the mods kits have to be wired to. Can you show me where the Nav and right side mirror wiring originates?

Thanks
