Default 97 Q45t Headlight condensation

Is there a permanent fix for headlight condensation? I used a blowdryer before but now that it's raining a lot, I don't want to do it everyday.

The headlamps most have a crack, allowing the excessive condensation to built inside the lamp. There is a bulletin that described that problem. Unfortunately the solution was replacing the headlamps assembly. But the bulletin also shows where the crack of the headlamps is, and if you find the crack you may be able to patch it. I'll try to get the bulletin and Post it this weekend.

I've actually got the same problem with my Q, for me the easy fix was to remove the cap to the headlight assembly (where you go to replace the light bulb) and leave it uncovered for a day or two. It does need to be a dry, preferably sunny day, but it will dry up pretty quickly. I tried using the hair dryer method, but removing the battery just to dry it out was too time consuming. Besides, you have to let it completely cool before you replace the cap, otherwise you'll have more condensation than you started with.

Did a search on the internet and in several automotive forums, and came up with 2 possible solutions that were repeatedly discussed.
Solution #1 - Drill a hole at the bottom of the headlight assembly, about 1/4' size.
Solution#2 - Put the headlight assembly in the oven and disassemble, afterwhich it is reassembled with a silicone sealant.

So my solution is a combination of the two, went to HomeDepot and bought a tube of clear silicone sealant for $3. Using the sealant, went through all the gaps, even took out the 3 scews on the side, put sealant into the holes and screw them back in. I put sealant in every possible nooks and cranny.
After that, I drilled a hole (1/4) at the bottom.

Its raining hard now, even have a little snow and hail which is strange for Southern California, but no headlight condensation so far.

Hope this helps those with similar problem like mine.
