Red face 98 i30t whistling noise please help!!!!....

Ok i have a 98 i30t. Cars great no problems except for driver front side towards the wheel i think is making a whisling sound from stop to go. Once i hit 40mph it stops. And everything is fine. Dont know what it is. Brakes are brand new with new rotors. Cars stops fine and at a stop no noise. When the car is cold and i am driving it around for the first 10-15 mins no noise. After that it starts. Like when it warms up or something. I guess i can drive the car a little hard at times. If anyone knows anything about this please help...

i dont think its the brakes. i used thermo quiet pads or posi quiet pads. i forgot the name. they never caused any noises before. i dont know if its the wheel bearing or something else.

it only does it when moving. once i reach 40 mph it stops. comes and goes when it pleases. it can make the noise if i dont touch the brakes and even if i touch the brakes. come on any techs out there know anything. i heard a maxima doing it the other day too. 6-99 body style

It is really hard to diagnose a noise over the internet unless it is a very common description but, just a guess, I wonder if you are getting whistling from the windshield or windshield trim. Once you reach speed the air presses the windshield down and the noise goes away. Have you had the windshield replaced lately?

Another complete guess. Is the drivers side wheel liner loose?
