Default alarm sounding

Hi all! Newbie here, I bought an 06 G35 2 months ago and a couple of times the alarm has started sounding for no reason whatsoever (I could see the car from inside work). Yesterday it went off repeatedly even after I hit the unlock button to stop it. I finally had to leave the car unlocked (again okay at work where I can see it but I'm reluctant to do so anywhere else).

Anyone had this happen to them and had an easy fix? The nearest Infiniti dealer is 150 miles away and I have to go there since I'm still under factory warranty.

Thanks for any help!

What can I say, pack a lunch and make the long journey.

Or you could ignore it until you feel like making the trip there by opening your door when you get out, hitting the button to lock all the doors, then closing the door. The remote isn't the only way to lock up the car.

Thanks Afrosheen. I figured I was going to have to make the trip. The cd player doesn't work either but I could live with that until I was ready to head that way.

I usually do hit the lock button instead of the remote to lock it and that's how the alarm was going off. Hopefully the dealership will be able to fix it along with the cd player in a day so I won't have to go back to get it days later.

Thanks for the reply!

Sounds like you're kinda jinxed. At least your warranty should cover everything. Take a list with you and call ahead to get a loaner.
