Lightbulb Blower Motor Relay/Fan Amp for J30

I've been searching online for help with my J30's AC issue. From what I've reado so far...it sounds like the same issue that everyone else is writing about, that's it's not really the motor itself but the relay or amp that controls it. The mechanic I took it to wanted to charge me $400 and replace the whole motor...but it still comes on sometimes...so it sounds like what everyone else is describing. One favor they did for me was leaving the panel down under the glove box exposing a big black casing on the left and a smaller round casing on the right with wires running to it on the left. I'm guessing it's in the round housing on the right. The relay at my local parts store is only $12...so if I can change it myself it would be a great help! Plus it's Africa hot down here in southern Louisiana right now so now blowing AC is killing me! Any help on how do do this would be greatly appreciated!

Usually, when the "Fan Control Amplifier" fails, the blower motor just stops blowing air or blows always on high. What is exactly is your problem?

Also, there is a situation when the blower motor keeps working but there is no air blowing at the vents, in that case the problem is the evaporator that is freezing.

When there is no air circulating, do you hear the blower motor working?

You can place your hand under the motor and feel it.

It was a common problem with the J30 models a few years ago, the A/C will over cool, freeze the evaporator and block the air going to the vents. The problem was the expansion valve.

If the blower motor is not working, the the "Blower Motor Amplifier" is probably the cause of the problem.

...i went outside and did what you said and I'm still not sure...I can feel a slight vibrating from the car running while the AC is off...then when I turn the AC on I can feel a bit more but I'm not sure if that is from the blower motor itself or if it's just the same vibration from the engine but I can feel alittle more because the engine is working harder...

If the evaporator is frozen, then what? The led on the dash says the fan is blowing, the compressor is on, but the fan is not blowing air. It's hot out - help!

Is the blower motor working? (not the display, but actually motor).

No Air and Blower (Fan) Motor Not working = Solution "Fan Amplifier"
No Air and Blower (Fan) Working = "Frozen Evaporator" = Solution "Expansion Valve"
