Chrysler Abandons Plans To Share Vehicles With Nissan
 Chrysler will end three vehicle-sharing projects with Nissan, including a Nissan-supplied small car for global markets. Chrysler's new status as a Fiat partner quashed the projects, which also included Chrysler providing Nissan with a full-size pickup starting in 2011.More...

I think you are probably right but I fail to see how that kind of spam pays. I can't imagine that one link in a signature could possibly generate much business.
