Default dentist

i dont know about you all but i do hate the dentist. i think it may be cause i was scared when i was back at home in uzbekistan, pulling teeth left and right with out novocane or anything...well maybe vodka for the grown folks, but i had one of my wisdom teeth removed and i was not happy at all. it hurts like helll today and i still got 3 more to go. will have to do them later i guess, well one i have to get an oral surgeon for it. but what are you stories and how you feel about the denstist? dont get me wrong i think its good that we get teeth cleaned and take care of them esppecially with me being in the industry where i have to try different foods and eat(my favorite). anyone got some horror stories hehehe

I got mix opinions on my wisdom teeth, some dentist say that I should remove them because are difficult to clean and some say I should keep them. I'm just going keep them for now and let the dentist do they job, cleaning, every six months.

Had all my wisdoms removed as a kid (impacted). Knocked me out with sodium penathol(sp?) Wow that stuff worked good lol. No afterward issues with that surgery.

Have other issues though not related. Cleaning every 3 mo mandatory, deep root plaining every other year and both painful every time. Take care of your teeth, I didn't and now paying for it with my regiement....

I have an extremely large fear of the dentist but nowadays you can get sedation dentistry done where they effectively put you out before treatment. I don't go as often as I should and it's pretty expensive to get anything but cleanings done.

My wife was put out for her wisdom teeth removal (all four at once). It went pretty well but she got something called "dry socket" and developed some minor complications. I forget exactly what they did after for that. My wisdom teeth are still in and my dentist has never suggested that I remove them.

well in think they only remove them if they hurt or cause problems. mne was actually laying flat instead of upright. i dont have insurance thats why i got him to do it for likke 150(i have the same dentist since i moved to the US, like 12 years now) i have to be put out for the other one cause its hard to reach, they kind of ran into problems with this one and i think he grinded my tooth too but im glad its out. when they put you to sleep its expensive ill probably have to have one done like that cause he cant do the other one. but i trust him however i still hate the sound and everything, especially that needle when you get cavaties...ohhh god i cant take that freaks me out. before the last two visits i havent been at the dentist for like 6 or 7 years, i know bad
