That one is pretty old IE but it sure makes me think it would be nice to be a track test driver.

I worked at the BMW Assembly Plant in Spartanburg SC for just over a year and a half, working in powertrain and eventually moved over to the door line. I spoke with many people who worked over in road and track tests who said it was amazing for the first 2 weeks but eventually gets to be too tedious trying to hear for any little noise or vibration. along with that getting in and out of cars all day was apparenlty hard on the body. but i wouldnt have known anything about THAT working in powertrain- hand assembling and installing close to 200- 35 lb radiators for 5 hours straight hahahahaha setting engines and installing struts was fun but id have still taken road and track test over powertrain any day. doors just sucked period.

Interesting perspective. How does a former BMW assembly worker end up driving an Infiniti G20. Just curious.

i was working there as a temp... did a better job than most of the full timers and getting paid half the amount which always pissed me off but anyways! id love to be able to afford a bmw but the G20 came to be because i needed a cheap car and for the price i got it for i cant complain lol
