Default Heated seats arent working !!!!

Hey , I just bought a 2003 G35 Sedan and the heated seats arent working. I've checked the 10Amp fuse and its okay so Im thinking it might be the heated seats relay. I read that its under the lower instrumentation panel but I couldnt find it. Any ideas or suggestions ??? HELP !!!

Welcome to the forum!

Does the light on the switch turn on? The factory service manual suggests on page 58 of section SE that the heated seat relay is built in to the Intelligent Power Distribution Module - Engine Room (IPDM E/R). Can you get to the switch to check for power?

Hey thanks for the post, I checked the switches and I'm not getting anything for power except for the illumination of the switches. I've checked the main 10A fuse and its fine. Also checked the voltage before the fuse and I've got 12 VDC there. So I'm pretty sure its the relay now. I was looking at the manual and it shows the heated seats relay on PG-60 & PG-61 , so I took off the lower instrument panel as shown on PG-61 but couldn't find the relay. Is there anyway I can get a part number or a picture of this relay ?? Any other suggestions ??? Thanks alot for the reply again !!!

If you're not getting power to the switches, I doubt the switches are the problem. You could unplug the switch and see if there is power at the switch connector just to be sure there isn't a low impedance load other than the heating element dragging the circuit down.

It does sound like the likely issue is the IPDM, and as I mentioned in Post #2 above, the relay is built in to the IPDM according to the factory service manual. You won't be able to access the relay without opening the IPDM.
