Default ITB09-032 on 2010 FX35

I am having trouble with my 2010 FX35 when I am coming close to a full stop. Just before stopping the gear downshifts and I get 1 or 2 harsh to mild jerks which are easily felt. Dealership guy also felt it and says thats normal. Is ITB09-032 also related to my issue?

If the dealership says it is normal ask them to take a new FX out with you and demonstrate. Although the TSB technically applies only to the 4 to 3 downshift it may help your downshift experience and certainly cannot hurt.

you may also not be used to a 7 speed transmission. did they check the part number for you too see if your fx needs the update? or did they just roadtest it?

I did drive another new Infiniti FX35 and it had mild jerks not the harsh ones but I could still feel the mild ones.

So can I ask dealership to apply ITB09-032 to my 2010 FX35 even though it is for 2009 models?

They connected my FX35 in the computer and said the car isn't reporting anything wrong. Don't know if they checked updates.

I am using premium fuel. It seems to be getting worse day by day or may be its my frustration!

There could be something else wrong with the tranny. Take it in again and ask to take out your car and another FX with the service tech in the FX for each run.

I don't know if the TSB applies to 2010 models or not, but I had my 09 FX50s reprogrammed as it's TCM was one of the part numbers included. The flash made a very noticable improvement throughout the shift range, not just the 3 to 4. Most others that have been part of the effected group also report improvement. That being said, the 7 speed is very different than the 4 or 5 speed in most older vehicles and does take some getting used to.
