I have an issue with the power steering assist system.
It was on and off @ first. If I would touch the connector to the power steering control unit it would work and then go off again at some point and I would repeat the process. I changed the control unit salvage and the connector still not working. Since the intial symptoms would correct touching the connection to the box that tell you anything? I haven't checked the solenoid yet the speedometer works fine(speed sensor) any ideas would be greatly appreciated! |

It's a common problem and usually replacing the control unit takes care of the problem. One way to verified the control unit was the problem was by doing what you did, moving the connector. Since it was a common problem, it is possible that the salvage unit is also bad. I suggest trying another one.
