Default Knock Sensor CEL Codes

Okay so I decided to start a thread. I've had both a Sensor 1 & 2 Knock Sensor Circuit Malfunction codes (0325 and 0330). When I hook up my laptop and OBDII scanner both codes are shown as stored, and only the 0330 as pending. I cleared the codes, and the 0330 (Sensor 2 Circuit Malfuntion) immediately comes back as stored and pending, but not the 0325 (Sensor 1).

I'm going to check the wiring tonight, because the original owner "says" they were both replaced before I bought the car, just in case who ever did the work, did a crappy or incorrect wiring. The second thing I wanted to do was check the sensors themselves, anyone know what the correct resistance is supposed to be for the factory spec (...forgive me, I haven't checked the service manual, but will tonight, so if its in there just point and laugh at me for wasting your time).

Also anyone know what brand, markings, etc will let me tell if the sensors are the factory ones, or some aftermarket (cause I'm sure if the last owner replaced them...they will not be genuine OEM...she was a cheap lady).

i would just head to the service manual and then download the engine control section.since u got the codes lok them up and it should give u info on troubleshooting them.looks like u are subscribed so u should have the full service manual, good luck

Approximately 500 - 620 kW [at 25°C (77°F)]

Good question. The only thing I remember was a small old style Nissan logo on it, similar to this one:

I started to look at this this weekend, but sadly I only could complete one step in the troubleshooting. The testing requires a M Ohm meter and mine only goes up to 200k, so I'll be getting a new meter this week I hope, and continue the testing.

Step 2, wants me to test the continuity of the wires from the sub connector to the ECM end. Where is the harness connector of the ECM? The service manual gives me the wire locations on the plug, but not the location of the actual plug. I know I'm being lazy and I'm sure if I browsed through the manual it'd tell me someone...but you guys are way easier to ask :p

Also I'm assuming to take the sensors out, that it'll require removing the intake? The light was failing on me as it was getting late, so I never got an actual visual on either sensor, but I'm assuming from the diagram that they under the intake. Are they possible to reach with removing the intake? If I do have to replace the intake, should I replace the gaskets, if so is it just the 8 gaskets to the heads, or are there more? I know lots of questions, just can't afford to start and then find out after the dealer has closed that I need more parts.

my knock sensor code went away after the oil change - see other thread. Very odd.

i actually don't have any ticking, and I've done several oil changes since I started getting the code. Plus I always you use 93 octane, so I know its not the gas. I'm pretty sure its either bad wiring...or worse the simultaneous failure of both sensors. Hopefully when I get a new meter I'll be able to tell

one mechanic says the tick is something worth selling the car for, infinitiexpert says its not the HLA.
dealer wanted a lot to replace sensors and wiring harness - but the code went on its own.
