Default More Brake Problems...

I'm having more brake problems with my 2005 QX56.
Yesterday I was driving and went to put the brakes on and it acted like the anti lock was trying to engage. It was like I was slipping on something when I was applying the brakes. Also it made a noise like loose metal rattling and the brake light came on. I babied it home and looked at the caliper through the wheel and it was tight. No fluid leaked or anything I could see. I added some brake fluid but it was not real low..above the MIN mark but below the MAX mark. Started it up and all lights off and brakes fine..
Drove about 100 miles today interstate and the brake light was on again as well as the VDC OFF and SLIP lights also on..
The brakes functioned as normal with no noise this time.
I stopped at my next destination and shut it off for about an hour then came out and no warning lights or abnormal brake action...
Any ideas??? Should I take the large plug out from the anti lock brake box and put it back in? Maybe a bad connection or ants inside???
Any help is appreciated as my warranty is out!!!!
Thanks
Chris

How are the brakes and tires condition? Have you replaced either one lately?

I had the same thing happen to my '04 when I was doing some slow speed driving in the mall parking lot.
I shut it down and restarted it and it was normal again.

I drove it directly to the dealer and they pulled it into the bay right away. They hooked up the computer to it, installed a (known) firmware update and sent me on my way.

Never happened again.

See the dealer. Infinity will back it I'm sure.

Default Brake Problems

Thanks guys.. I do need rotors but the pads are still quite thick...the rotors are warped.. Glad to hear it's just an update needed and nothing major.. I'm out of warranty now so do you think they will still do it???
Thanks
Chris

It's very unlikely the factory will warranty the brakes since is out of warranty. If the pads are still goon, you should just resurface the rotors.

I have my QX56 in the shop as we speak for the same problem. Turns out that the main battery cable needs to be replaced. Apparently it was arcing and failed due to poor ground connections on the vehicle allegedly induced by new england weather. The intermittent ground faults caused the ABS system to loose its memory and needs to be reprogrammed (according to the the service advisor who I spoke with today)
