1997 Q45t w/75,000 miles
Two months ago, I got a code P0160 (rear O2 sensor); so I replaced that. Yesterday, the check engine light came on and I got that code P0160, along with P0330 (Knock Sensor). The funny thing is the car drives good, fuel economy is suspect (but I drove mostly in the city) and both times the CEL has come on, the previous few days our area had tremendous amounts of rain. I had the guys at Autozone reset the CEL, but it came on again. Does anybody have a clue what the problem is? I use only premium fuel, and do regular maintenance on the car. Thanks |

Is common on the 97 Q45 to have a O2 sensor code after it rains. The factory did not designed the connectors properly and water can easily gets in the connectors. You can reset the light with out any problem. Eventually (not sure how long, months or years) that water that gets in to the connectors will corrode the wires. Unfortunately the only solution is replacing the harness.
