Default power

on our 98-QX4 I have installed a free flowing air intake, and bigger exhaust but it still lacks in the power. Is there anything that's easy to do on this thing to increase the power? I'm having a hard time finding aftermarket items for this QX4.

Try checking for parts for a Nissan Pathfinder. You may have better luck and more supply of aftermarket parts.

your lossing power if anything. put the factory air intake back in. any aftermarket one will just suck hot air under the hood in and that will cause you to loose power.

No the increased air intake improved the power. It's getting most of the air still from the original box I just put an aftermarket filter in and I cut a 2" round hole on the back side facing the fender on the cool side.
The lack of power is just this engine in this heavy vehicle.

You're not getting water in through that hole are you? Even a light misting is going to cost you.

no chance of that. The air cleaner is mounted very near the driver side fender, and the hole is mounted into the stock box before the air filter and it a closed off section so nothing like water would get in there. Assuming of course you don't drive into the lake
