Default Filter replacement Interval

This is from Magnefine Co.

Quote:
With regard to the service interval. Many PS systems that the Magnefine filter is installed into are usually very dirty. This is why there is a low first service interval. The condition of the vehicle and the fluid color tells me that in your case it will be fine to leave the filter in for the 3 years. The contamination in a Power Steering system is mainly fine metal particles. It comes from the pump. This hard wear metal then produces all the other contamination like aluminum and cuts the Teflon seals that hold all the pressure to make the system work.

The Magnefine will now magnetically filter out all the remaining microscopic metal. With the filter continuously cleaning the metal out of the fluid, your PS system will last a long time.

For your information we also have Magnefine filters for the automatic transmission. And for the engine we have a product called Magnafilter. This product will keep the engine oil very clean and has a service life of 50,000 miles
