I'd like to submit that in Houston, Texas, Southwest Infniti has perhaps the best service department that I have ever encountered. I've owned many different makes of vehicles over the past 30 years, both domestic and imports, and I have never been treated as fairly, equitably or courteously at any other service department.
They treat you as a "fellow Infiniti enthusuast" - you can talk to the tech about detailed/obscure issues, and they will take the time out to talk to you and give their advice/opinions freely. I've saved quite a lot of money because they've been honest enough to tell me when something could wait, or when something does need replacement, they will find the most cost effective way to get it done. I also recommend speaking to Cal Wilson, the Q45 guru and service manager at Southwest Infiniti, Houston. He'll always have an answer for your technical questions, or will get it for you. Always helpful, even if you like to do it yourself. -Nick |

I walked in the door with a figure set in my head of how much I wanted to pay. After the test drive, I sat down with Salah (my salesperson) and told him what I wanted to pay. He pulled out a piece of paper, wrote down a bunch of numbers, valued my trade and turned the paper around and explained it all to me meeting my bottom line with no more input from me! No haggling, and no arguing!
I joked with my finance rep that this deal had been TOO easy and that I felt I needed to haggle somewhere so we MILDLY haggled on the price of the service plan and a few other options and I was out of the door for slightly more than I wanted to pay for everything! The experience was so effortless that I really didn't mind.

I don't know whether Infiniti dealerships in Puerto Rico are the same as in the states, but in my opinion, any dealership that sells Infinitis here (in Puerto Rico) should hold themselves to the same standard of service. Motorambar, Inc. is an Infiniti/Nissan/Kia dealership in San Juan, PR and our service experience with them has been less than satifactory to say the least. We have a 1996 Q-45 that we brought in on March 20, 2007 for idling and shut off problems. They gave us an estimate a week later for about $1500.00 for a wiring harness, a knock sensor and spark plugs. This was fine except after 30 days, they still had not repaired the car and would not return our phone calls giving us the run around. After 40 DAYS, we were finally told that the harness was being orderd from Japan and is on back order. I understand that nothing could be done about this but some sort of communication would have been nice. After this, the manager gave us a loaner car. We were grateful after having spent over $1500 on car rental fees, but the car had roaches and ants in it. Needless to say, I requested another loaner. To make a long story short, the car was ready on July 16, they charged us $300 more than the quote and the problem still exists. I brought it back on the 17th (the next day) they said it needs an air flow meter. They told us they would have the part in 7 to 10 days but after 14 days and our calls not being returned AGAIN, we were finally told they could NOT get the part and it might be better for US to order it from the states and bring it to them to install-N/C for labor of course! I guess there's not much else we can do if there's only one dealership on the island!

I bought my '02 used while still under warranty. These guys always treated me as though I bought from them. I expect they will when I pick up my 2005 Q45 next week ,again, from a broker and not the dealer.

Atlantic Infiniti of Jacksonville
I have a 2002 Q45 that I purchased two years ago from a Mazda dealership. I have taken my Q to Atlantic several times and have been treated like royalty. If the service is scheduled to take a while they will provide me with a loner |

Does anyone have any comments on Sewell Infiniti in Dallas? I just bought an 02 Q45 and need to have a few things done. Is there a service advisor that anyone recommends?
Thanks Patrick |
