Infiniti of Austin did a great job for me on my 97 QX4. I brought it in for a concern that my OD was not engaging properly. I also had a problem with the seatbelt retractor. The service guys were through, even went on a test drive with me after they found no issue just so I could show them what I was talking about. They were patient. The seatbelt was replaced N/C. Rhonda was a great service advisor. The coffe bar was great as well. Overall, highly recommend them.

Cochran Infinity- Pittsburgh, PA. They're the only dealer in the area.

My first experience with them was positive. After purchasing our 98 QX4 we went to them for spare keys. Our only key had a chip in it so we were prepared for the worst. They told us to bring it right out and they would take care of it. We were told that even though our key did have a chip, the vehicle didn't require a chip key, only a standard one. They also infomed us of the recall for the gas filler tube, told us they had the parts on hand and if we could wait about an hour they could do it right away. I was hooked - a dealer who wasn't out to make a buck any way they could!

Fast forward about a month. The MIL comes on and says the canister purge control is bad. I do some basic troubleshooting and determine the valve is bad. My wife goes back to Cochran for the part (about $80 and a 60 mile round trip). While there, they tell her the problem is more extensive and give her an estimate of $1800 and 2 days time to clear the charcoal from the system and replace the canister and all the controls and sensors. They were correct about the canister, and I purchased that from them, but the only valves that were defective were the purge control (which I was able to clean and re- install) and the canister vent control valve (which was stuck open and just needed cleaned). Everything else checked out OK. The cleaning of the lines took me about 3 hours.

She also decides to have them change the oil while she's there and they do a vehicle check. That report claims that both front struts are bad, the rear linkage is bad, front brakes were worn, and one headlight and fog light need replaced due to moisture. Now this car was just inspected in December of 07 and we bought it in Feb. of 08 and this is in March. So it's off to a local inspection station for another opinion. The only thing they found was a seeping inner rear axle seal.

I guess Cochran is going to be a necessary evil if I need certain parts or service, but I will always be wary of any work suggested.
