"Service Engine soon" Light

Hi,

I have a 1998 Q45 with 105K miles on it. The "Service Engine Soon" light just came on solid. I checked the code and it is a "P0400". The manual says it is an "EGR flow malfunction". Does anyone know what commonly causes this?
I could use any help you could give me.
