Site setup

Not sure if it is possible, or has already been given fair consideration, but, I'm on another site (Honda) and what they have done is sort the postings/topics in a couple of different ways.

In particular, they've done it by generation. You all would know better than me, but I suspect that for the G35, 1st gen would have ended with the 07 production. And then, the 2nd gen would have started at that point.

Essentially, what that seems to do is narrow down the topics/posts and makes it relevant to your generation of make/model. While the reader can browse other area's and read up on other topics.

Other than that (and the obvious post-whores who are trying to get their numbers up so they can download) I think the site is useful, and a lot of the credit has to go in equal parts to the tech experts/mods and the ppl that actually post follow up's on their issues.

Thank you for the suggestion. You have an excellent point, the only reason I haven't create more forums, one for each generation, is to avoid cluttering the site with too many forums and confuse the user with where to post the questions and comments. I'll like to hear what other user think about more forums.

If you like, I can let you know which site I am referring to and you can check it out. See what they've done and what might be useful here, or what might not work.

Let me know and I'll share the link. (To be honest, I'm surprised and very pleasantly at how receptive you all are about constructive feedback. Sometimes moderators don't take kindly to such things).

All things considered, I'm glad I'm a member of this site. Will certainly have to look into the upgrade!!!

It is an interesting idea. Especially now that the next gen G is out and with the next gen FX coming out soon. Maybe subforums is the way to go. Go ahead and post a link ohsix. I'm sure infinitiexpert would like to have a look.
