I had all four struts, boots and assorted hardware on my 2000 Q45t Anniversary Edition, replaced at the dealer (Southwest Infiniti) on 12/19/2008. Total cost was $2074.17.
The fronts are the ones that give out first, since the weight distribution on toward the front. The rears on my car still had some life left, but I made the decision to just get it over with and do them all. The service manager, will usually cut you a deal on the labor, if you choose to them all at once. The new suspension makes a big difference - the slight bounce is gone and the car feels like it's old self again. Make sure that they check the electronic actuators for proper function on the A/E - they are the first-generation electronic type - after a while, just make sure that they are still working. -Nick |

At what milage did you guys have to replace these? I'm looking into picking up a '00 Q Anniversary Edition with 97k and wondering what sort of work will be involved in the next 10k miles. Thanks!

No one makes aftermarket struts for these cars? That's a lot of money just for struts.

I replaced the suspension on my Q45t A/E at 109K miles on the clock.
Aside from regular maintainence, the car has been flawless. -Nick |
