2002 was a very bad year, too many recalls, bulletins, engine oil consumptions problem, A/c poor cooling, etc. I definitely do not recommend that year. By the model year 2004 most all the problems were fixed.

The factory didn't recalled the the A/C system, or engine (for the oil consumption problem), or the exhaust, headlight ballast, etc.

It's just my opinion.

You should try to get the vehicle history from the dealer, it is possible that the dealer did the repairs before the warranty expire.

I would suggest, as InfinitiExpert does, that you get the vehicle history from Infiniti if you can. Other than that check through the tsb's for your model and year. You'll find the service bulletins under the "knowledgebase" tab above.

Default Thanks for the reply...

I did contact Infiniti, they looked up the history and told me it was well maintained with all services performed. I have an appt Wednesday to look at the drivers mirror that does not move(only problem I have managed to find). I will ask them to confirm a recent oil change that the maint computer states has been done. Or I will have them just change it. In any case this is our 1st Infiniti and we are just thrilled with it so far.
