My 04 G35X displays the low tire pressure indicator on the dash with no audio signal after about 30 - 35 miles traveled on the highway. The dash display will stay on from that point on until I turn off the ignition and then it will not reappear until I drive 30 - 35 miles again. The actual tire pressure has no effect on this. I would appreciate any ideas or mention of a similar experience. Thanks.

My car does the same thing. In and around town, no light. But once I get on the freeway about 25-30 miles or so.. Boom there it is. I was told that there is nothing wrong with my tires. Since I had them at 35 psi it was about 5psi over the factory setting. When the tires warm up the psi get higher hence making them a little over inflated. Thus triggering the sensor light. So i put them down to 30psi when cold and haven't had a problem. Since I live in Alaska (negative temps all the time) the days are starting to warm up and I had my tires changed over, and its back to old business. LOL! Its going into the shop monday for an oil change and a oil burning smell, so i'll have them mess with it. Hope this helps or at least helps you know there are others that feel your pain.

It could be a tire pressure issue or a sensor issue.

Try getting the sensors reset at a reputable tire shop, or have the dealer do it. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes in a properly equipped shop.
Also, are you rolling on a spare? The spares don't have sensors and will keep the system lit. |
