I updated NAV to 7.4

Hi I bought a 06 g35 coupe a month ago.I wanted to update the nav ,so i went to navteq and bought the 7.4 dvd.I installed it everything seems to work ok until i try to look for a certain address.When I push destination it only gives me 2 cities NV and CA in the search.I even tried my home address and it never showed up.My Question Is there a setting I can change to list all states,provinces and cities?

No can't all at once. Must choose which 'region' you want NAVI to look in.

1- Select street address.
2- Scroll up to Region and select.
3- Choose USA 1, USA 2, etc, Canada (region locations shown on screen).
4- Scroll back down to address number field and start entering.
5- The rest is self explanatory.

Sounds like your NAVI is set for USA 1 = CA/NV region only.

If so, they don't have any listings for any models before
2008.

Yes i bought the dvd though Navteq store for $190.00us plus $30us for shipping and another $37.18can @fed ex for duties and taxes.I think the newer models don't take a dvd.you buy the map updates and the dealer installs it.

Click on 'store' or 'buy a map update', then enter device type, then all vehicle info, then your DVD version will show.

2009 G37 takes version 8.2 for the same price as our 7.4 and then dealer still has to install that? Yikes!!

..I attempted that at least four times (built in factory installed - manufacturer:infiniti - model:skyline coupe - year:not listed for 2006)
and the result is, 'product not found'

^Now I see your location on your post, my mistake.

Notice Asia is not one of the regions listed for available DVD coverage on that site.

Try the 'contact' link given after it says 'product not found'. Maybe they can direct you to their other site or toll free number that does cover Asia.

Also, is the map update enhanced with better
visuals, like 3d displays, or is similar to the same
type?

Everything looks the same on display. Updates are new roads, more POI's, etc that have been built since prior version releases.
