If a CD/DVD Player incident is noted, a possible cause may be improper CD/DVD disc care, condition, or usage. This bulletin provides updated CD/DVD Player operation instructions to avoid potential incidents/customer concerns caused by improper care and usage of CD/DVD discs.
ALL 2007 AND UP INFINITI MODELS; DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK INOPERATIVE WITH INTELLIGENT KEY
If the doors will not lock/unlock using the Intelligent Key buttons and/or the Door Request Switch; before replacing any component: a. Review the door look/unlock Diagnostic Items in this bulletin, and b. Follow all diagnostic steps in the appropriate Service Manual.
2007-2012 ALL INFINITI MODELS; INTAKE AIR VOLUME LEARN WILL NOT COMPLETE
If intake air volume learning procedure will not complete follow the instruction on this bulletin.
-REVISED- 2003-2011 ALL INFINITI MODELS; NAVIGATION MAP DATA UPDATE MATRIX
Two methods are used to update/upgrade Navigation Map Data:
1. The customer is mailed update disc(s) and installs data.
OR
2. The dealership is mailed update disc(s) and the customer must visit the dealership to have data installed.
2007-2008 INFINITI FX45; MIL 'ON' WITH DTC P1421 STORED
An Applied Vehicle has the MIL 'ON' with DTC P1421 (Cold Start Control) stored in the ECM.
AND
There are no drivability issues.
2003–2008 INFINITI FX35; DTC P0300 AND IGNITION COILS BLISTERED
Cylinder Misfire DTC (P0300 through P0306) is stored in the ECM,
and
One or more of the ignition coils is blistered (outer surface is deformed/melted),
NOTE: The above conditions may also be accompanied by one or more of the following:
• Hesitation on acceleration
• Rough running engine (engine misfire)
• Engine cranks but will not start
2005-2011 ALL INFINITI MODELS; ABS / VDC CAN DIAGNOSIS INFORMATION
When diagnosing a vehicle with an ABS or VDC / SLIP warning light on with DTCs stored in the ABS / VDC actuator control unit, perform DTC diagnosis first.
ALL INFINITI MODELS; WHEEL BEARING COLLISION DAMAGE
Impacts to wheel bearings (such as a collision or other suspension damage) may create slight indents in the bearing surfaces. These indents may not be visible but can cause bearing noise.
