If a customer describes lack of power or poor acceleration, perform the following checks before attempting any repair.
VARIOUS INFINITI MODELS; 2 SENSOR OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS AND INFORMATION
Infiniti is issuing this Technical Service Bulletin to further clarify for service technicians the diagnosis and resolution process for customer inquiries about Occupant Classification Systems (OCS) operation. This TSB applies only to vehicles using the two stain gauge OCS, and explains the pressures necessary to confirm that this type of OCS is operating as designed.
2014-2015 INFINITI Q50, Q50 HYBRID; BCM MANUAL CONFIGURATION SERVICE INFORMATION
When replacing a BCM for any reason and the original BCM’s configuration cannot be accessed with CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus), the new BCM must be manually configured.
2014 INFINITI Q50; RATTLE NOISE DURING ACCELERATION FROM PROPELLER SHAFT CENTER BEARING
Using “chassis ear”, a rattle noise coming from the rear propeller shaft center bearing under the following conditions:
Light to moderate acceleration
and
Between 2,000 and 2,800 rpm

While driving, the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) activates when conditions do not call for VDC activation (VDC activation is not needed).
