The Purpose of this bulletin is to give Infiniti dealers guidelines to help determine if windshield breakage is covered under warranty or is the customer’s responsibility.
VARIOUS INFINITI MODELS; SUNROOF WIND NOISE
A wind noise is coming from the sunroof glass area.
• The noise can be isolated to the sunroof glass area if it stops after covering the sunroof seal with “painter’s tape” or equivalent.
VARIOUS INFINITI MODELS; BLUETOOTH® PHONE SYSTEM; INITIAL DIAGNOSIS
If a vehicle comes to the dealer with a Bluetooth® phone system related concern, use this bulletin for initial diagnosis.
ALL INFINITI MODELS; ACCESSORY WHEEL LOCKS INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL
Accessory wheel locks, wheel lock keys, or vehicle wheels that are damaged due to improper installation or removal will not be considered a manufacturer defect and will not be covered under warranty.
2006-2009 INFINITI M35, 2008-2009 EX35; STEERING RACK GROAN NOISE WHEN TURNING RIGHT
A groan or similar noise at low vehicle speeds when centering the vehicle steering after a right turn.
• The noise is more likely to occur when the vehicle is cold.
• A slight vibration may be felt in the steering wheel.
UPDATE TO AT/CVT TERMINOLOGY IN SERVICE MANUALS
The terminology for Automatic Transmission ("AT") and Continuously Variable Transmission ("CVT") in the
Infiniti Service Manuals is being updated to reflect the terminology in SAE J1930 and J2012.
VARIOUS INFINITI MODELS; PARKING BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH REPAIR PROCEDURE
The parking brake light remains on when the foot operated parking brake pedal is released.
AND
The parking brake switch is damaged as described in the Service Procedure section of this bulletin.
2007-2009 ALL INFINITI MODELS; IPDM SERVICE
The Intelligent Power Distribution Module (IPDM) is ONLY serviceable as an assembly.
The ONLY serviceable parts of an IPDM are the fuses.
ALL INFINITI MODELS; ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT DAMAGE CAN RESULT FROM IMPROPER BATTERY CONNECTION
The vehicle 12 volt battery is an important part of the vehicle electrical system and is required to stay connected when the engine is running.
