If a customer describes lack of power or poor acceleration, perform the following checks before attempting any repair.
ALL INFINITI MODELS; FLUID LEAK REPAIR SERVICE INFORMATION
The following information is provided to help ensure correct diagnosis and repair of fluid leaks. All fluid leaks, when properly diagnosed, should be repaired (whether under warranty or customer pay) to ensure proper vehicle operation.
ALL INFINITI MODELS; REMOVING FOREIGN MATERIAL FROM THE WINDSHIELD
Windshield “foreign material” that is on the surface of the glass in some cases can be cleaned off with a very particular type and grade of steel wool.
1990-2013 ALL INFINITI MODELS; STRUT REPLACEMENT GUIDELINES
This bulletin provides information to identify:
A leaking strut or a shock absorber that qualifies for replacement under warranty.
A strut or shock absorber that has slight oil seepage, a condition which is considered normal, does not affect strut/shock absorber operation or performance, and does not require replacement.
A strut or shock absorber that should be replaced due to rod resistance/noise issues.
1996 AND UP ALL INFINITI MODELS; SYSTEM READINESS TEST (SRT) DRIVE PATTERNS
As part of an enhanced emissions test for Inspection & Maintenance (I/M), some States may require the System Readiness Test (SRT) status be checked.
The SRT is used to indicate whether the engine control module (ECM) has completed self diagnosis of major emissions systems and components.
In these instances the State may require completion of the SRT before permitting the emissions inspection to proceed.

If a CD/DVD Player incident is noted, a possible cause may be improper CD/DVD disc care, condition, or usage. This bulletin provides updated CD/DVD Player operation instructions to avoid potential incidents/customer concerns caused by improper care and usage of CD/DVD discs.
ALL INFINITI MODELS; WHEEL BEARING COLLISION DAMAGE
Impacts to wheel bearings (such as a collision or other suspension damage) may create slight indents in the bearing surfaces. These indents may not be visible but can cause bearing noise.
